J Childers was founded in 1999 by Jesse Childers Jr & Curt Schafferknocker. Both Gentlemen were generationally groomed into the Precast Concrete/ & Cast in place Concrete industries by Jesse's Father Jesse Childers Sr and Curts father Brian Schafferknocker. Together they combined their knowledge of both industries and began the steady growth. While steadily erecting precast concrete Childers would gradually increase its volume of Cast in place concrete work that would soon surpass the precast industry.
As Childers saw the decline in precast concrete opportunity, The Company focused on all and any aspect of cast in place concrete. With the dedicated work ethics that were instilled from generations before we have always been proud and honored to employ the wonderful people that have contributed and built our work force. From the apprentice's fresh out of the Union Hall to the dedicated workers whom have retired from our company, we pride ourselves in employing such dedicated hard working employees!
Still today, J Childers provides complete commercial/Industrial/Residential concrete services to many customers such as, Municipalities, General Contractors, Developers, and industries. J Childers cherishes their many relationships with repeat customers whom also have had a roll in help build this Concrete Company to what it is today and eagerly looks forward to working with new customers!
